GIS 4006 M7 Lab: Google Earth Pro

This was a fun lab -- we got to use Google Earth Pro for the first time, and practice creating layers in ArcGIS Pro and converting them to KMZ layers and exporting to Google Earth. Here, I've symbolized water features, overlain a dot density population map, and added a JPEG of a legend. Part of our deliverables, not shareable here, was making a tour in Google Earth Pro. In this screenshot, you can see the places it covered. This is a neat feature where you can link places in sequence and have an audio accompaniment. I had an extremely difficult time with technical issues here -- for some reason my first few attempts at exporting the surface water layer to Pro resulted in multiple features symbolizing as black at 0% opacity. Since there are scores of rows in each feature, it was too onerous to fix manually in the time I had left. Also, when I was manually adjusting symbolization using hex codes, the preview was the right tint, but the actual output was far too dark. Apparently these are both known issues with Pro and ArcGIS, and ultimately my solution was to start over in the middle.
